Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, company name, and billing information. Payment card data is processed by Stripe and never stored on Fond systems.

Formulation data: Recipes, ingredients, weights, ratios, yields, uploaded documents, and generated outputs you create in the platform.

Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and error logs collected automatically when you use the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the platform
• To process subscription payments and manage billing
• To communicate with you about your account and support requests
• To send product updates and marketing emails (you may opt out at any time by clicking unsubscribe)
• To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information or formulation data to third parties.

3. Formulation Data Confidentiality

Your formulations are your property. Fond will not share, sell, or disclose your individual formulation data to any third party, except as required by law.

We use your formulation data only to provide the platform features you subscribe to. We may use aggregated, anonymized data — from which no individual formulation or customer can be identified — to improve platform performance.

4. Third-Party Services

Fond uses the following service providers to operate the platform. Each is subject to their own privacy policies and data protection obligations:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication
• Vercel — platform hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic — AI-assisted spec sheet scanning
• Resend — transactional email
• Sentry — error monitoring

When you use AI-assisted spec sheet scanning, documents you upload are processed by Anthropic’s Claude API and are subject to Anthropic’s data use policies in addition to this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and formulation data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the platform. Following cancellation, your data may be retained or deleted at Fond’s discretion, consistent with applicable law.

You may export your formulation data at any time while your account is active using the platform’s built-in export features. To request deletion of your personal information, contact legal@fondnutrition.com. We will respond within 45 days.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), database encryption at rest, and role-based access controls. No security measure is perfect — by using the platform you acknowledge that you provide data at your own risk.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you promptly and take reasonable steps to remediate the breach.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Oregon residents have rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA). California residents have rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact legal@fondnutrition.com.

Fond does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
